People always say that when in Istanbul, it is a must do experience to try out the Bosphorus Cruise.

Although it may sound quite boring to many — I mean, after all, you simply sit on a boat whilst it cruises along the Bosphorus Strait.

However, I assure you that it has much more to offer than a simple cruise in the afternoon.

History of Istanbul

For those who are into History — knowing that you are cruising in between 2 continents will surely amaze you! I mean, who wouldn’t be amazed by this fact? Istanbul is the city in the world that straddles 2 continents! This 31km strait of water in Istanbul is the boundary between East and West.

Beautiful Views

Admire the views of the cities either on the first of second floor of the boat. The second floor is outdoor, which will definitely make you admire the views more! The best part of the second floor? It’s an upper deck so you will get a better grasp of the sights as well as better pictures!

However, the ladder is quite steep so you might have a difficult time. But, trust me when I say that it is a must to get out there on the upper deck!

You won’t even notice that it has been 1 hour already because you will find yourself intrigued by the former capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. You will be in awe with various landmarks ranging from ancients to unique ones. Sights of neighborhoods and of course prominent sites such as castles, mosques and many more. Most importantly, be amazed once you cross below the famous suspension bridge that Connects Europe and Asia side of the city — a unique distinction of the ancient and modern.

The views were definitely postcard-worthy!

Thank you, Profil Holidays, for being allowing me to tour around the beautiful Istanbul but to also encourage me to take this afternoon cruise as I was able to witness the beautiful sights that the former capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empire has to offer.
