Kimbap translates to Seaweed/Laver (Kim 김) and Rice (Bap 밥). Given the characteristics, a lot of people may think it is the Korean version of sushi – but, in reality, it is not !

In fact, the Kimbap is the Korean equivalent of a sandwich wrap. In short, it is a rice wrapped in seaweed with various fillings of the choice of the customer.

The dish is extremely delicious and savoury as it manages to maintain the balance of various flavours coming from meat and vegetables mixed with seaweed and rice.

It may be small but it is without doubt very filling!
