Floating in the Lowest Point on Earth

When I went to Israel last October 2015, I had a chance to visit the Dead Sea.

Thank you, Profil Holidays, for giving me the opportunity to visit the lowest point on earth. It was definitely an experience that I did not expect myself to encounter but I am grateful that I have already witnessed this. Not to mention that they conducted a pre-departure briefing and they also discussed every important detail during this trip so that I would come prepared.

My experience at the Dead Sea was definitely a moment that I will remember for a lifetime. My local guide explained the do’s and don’ts of the Dead Sea and then gave me an hour or so to properly enjoy the view.

So, being excited, I directly went to the shower/changing room and changed to my bikini. Just kidding, I just wore a tank top / shirt and shorts because I felt more comfortable to wear that. Of course, I didn’t forget my slippers.

I made my way towards the water – I did not float just yet.
I wanted to take the opportunity to take a picture of myself for remembrance. Thus, I asked for someone who would take a photo of me. Luckily, one of the fellows that visited the Dead Sea with me gladly took a picture of me. Of course, I did the same for the others. I mean, who wouldn’t want to remember this moment?

A moment of natural skin care, the moment of visiting the lowest point on earth and many more.

The next thing I did was to put mud on my face, neck, shoulders and legs. After all, who wouldn’t want smooth and silky skin?

After about 5 minutes, I rinsed it off in the water as I began to effortlessly float in the water. I will admit it that I was quite afraid that I was going to drown. It was the moment that I decided to lay back and fear ran through my bones – until, I trusted my guts and realized that I was floating !

After a while, I rinsed myself with regular water and went back to the shower/changing room. I decided to take a good look of myself in the mirror and miraculously, my cheeks turned rosy colour – as if I had blush on! But, it was solely because of the one of a kind natural mud and Dead Sea experience.

I decided to touch my skin and I was amazed. All areas that I put mud on was soft, even the rashes that I once had on my shoulder was healed.

The best part? I actually felt light and younger.
